I Truly Think I'm an Alien

I just wrote this....it's kind of how I've been feeling lately.

Have you ever felt almost *too* unique? Like your interests or your desires or how you want to live your life seem to be completely out of sync with the time frame you're in? I admit, I often feel like I'm an alien compared to others on this planet, and I think the best way to describe how I feel is to look at the world like I *am* an alien. So, here goes.....

I was inadvertantly left on your planet during an exploratory mission, and lucky enough for me our forms are similar so I was able to blend in. However, blending in only works physically, because the way people down here seem to live makes it obvious that I just don't belong here. For instance, your mating patterns are all wrong. On our planet, we fall in love and then physically bond, and when we find our one true love we mate with that person for life and do not stray. If any problems come up, we work them out and just make them work because love, compromises, and producing offspring together and raising them to be mentally healthy individuals are our top priorities. Here, you humans seem to thrive on mating before an emotional attachment has transpired, mistake love for lust, choose others who have no skills at compromising, and apparently haven't evolved enough to mate with just one person and have a tendency to stray. Children here are often left most of the day to raise themselves, no parenting skills are being taught, and many humans don't even seem to want children now because they are selfish and consider it a burden as opposed to a gift.
Another thing I have noticed is that humans have a tendency to keep themselves happy and content with the material. They purchase entertainment devices and other such things that keep them happy because they use those as band-aids to make themselves feel better. They cover themselves with permanent art because they need attention and/or are unhappy with themselves just the way that they are. Humans engage in damaging activities which ruin their brains, their lungs, their hearts, and their livers. They also lie to get what they want, and deceive and hurt in order to gain power. Humans don't take care of their planet, nor do they take care of their bodies, and what they use for fuel isn't the natural but, instead, the artificial.
Overall, from the few things I have witnessed thus far about your planet, I have truly got to say that I wish I had landed in another time. Maybe then I would have an easier time blending in.
