Dating and Lies

I never understood why women often times lied in their profiles pertaining to what they liked as a means to attract men. For example, if a woman doesn't like sports, she shouldn't say she does just to make her more appealing to a greater percentage of men. Because, if in a relationship, after time him wanting to watch the game all the time is truly going to annoy her.

I mean, if you reverse the situation it's the same thing. I don't like shoe shopping, so why on Earth would I put THAT as a like in my profile? Do I seriously want to go from store to store all the time with a significant other while she shops for shoes? Um, no.

So, if dating online, please, be honest about what you like.

Toys, Games, and Action Figure Collectibles of the 1970s Volume 3 (With Mego figures!)

I'm slowly but surely working on Volume 3 of my toy book. I can't promise how long it's going to take, but this will cover Mego's Pocket Heroes to Palitoy's Zorro and MANY toy lines in between from a variety of manufacturers. Another funny profile I read...

I saw another funny profile. You can always tell a woman is unsatisfied with her job when she says she's a grade school teacher, but in the section where it asks if she wants kids it says "Undecided or No." Um...maybe it's just me, but if you don't like kids enough to want them and you're a grade school teacher, I think you may be in the wrong profession.

Love or Shoes--what would YOU choose?

I read the funniest profile today. A woman wouldn't date a guy the same height as her and wanted him taller because she wanted to wear heels. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but in nature, wouldn't we all be barefoot? So, in essence, some women are now choosing a man based on wanting to put something on their feet, which aren't technically even supposed to be ON their feet to begin with. Really? WOW! A potential love of someone's life, or high heels. Sorry, but if I were a woman, I don't think I'd be choosing the shoes.

Crazy Women with Guns

I don't know....maybe it's just me....but maybe it's not such a great idea if a woman says she's a "crazy kind of gal" in a personal ad, and then in one of her pictures shows herself at a gun range with a semi-automatic weapon in her hands. Run, guys, run! LOL

Self-Help Books

I think it's interesting how, if someone doesn't agree with something someone says in a self-help book because it doesn't fit THEIR lifestyle or how they're used to acting, how they magically think it may be wrong.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but if their ways were right and working for them, would they be seeking out a self-help book to begin with?

So, any time you read something by me or someone else, if something touches a nerve, and what you had been doing prior to reading that wasn't working for you, maybe that's life's way of telling you something. Maybe the things that are irking you when someone tries to help you are because you don't want to change and fix what's preventing you from getting what you want.

I mean, we all SAY we want to fix what's wrong with us, but our minds have a self protection mechanism/alarm that often goes off when we hear something that seems foreign to us or takes us out of our comfort zones.

It's sad, but it happens a lot. People would much rather snap at ideas that are different because it's easier for them than thinking that maybe those ideas could actually help them get what they want if they still don't have whatever that may be.

I'm Agnostic, but still...a have a question for Christians...

I find it interesting how, according to the latest studies, 60-76% of Americans identify themselves as Christians, which represents the majority of the population, yet a larger percentage (Not by much, but a little as of 2011) is pro-choice and we're constantly involved in war. Um, don't WE vote on things in this country? I mean, if the majority of our population is supposed to believe in peace, maintaining life, and basically doing as Jesus supposedly did, why are we constantly at war and killing unborn babies again? Someone…please…remind me.
