Is Having Bad Eyesight Genetically Superior?
I wonder if having bad vision is actually a genetically superior trait instead of a negative one. After all, if it weren't for contacts and glasses, wouldn't people with bad vision be more likely to have sex with just about anyone, therefore increasing the odds for procreation? I would think, from a numbers standpoint, that would actually be advantageous. Just a thought.

America the Not-So-Beautiful--Come on, you can do better than this!
I was looking at a bunch of census maps this morning. It’s really interesting to note that in the West they do drugs more (But the NE is a close second) and drink more and have higher divorce rates (I was shocked to find that the South didn’t when compared to the West—it seems to be really bad in the NW right now), in the Midwest and the South they eat more obviously because they have the highest obesity rates in the U.S. now, the South has more violent crime, in the E (Esecially the NE) they have more AIDS cases (And the majority, believe it or not, are in Washington, D.C! Conspiracy theory/biological weapon origin perhaps? Makes you wonder), the West and South are tied for property crime, they smoke more cigarettes in the Midwest (With the S and W almost there), the states with the least amount of people who have completed a high school diploma or more are in the South, and the highest unemployment rate is in the West (But with the S very close).
America….Yay. (Coughcoughcough)

Having Kids....
As for kids, no one is ever ready for kids. You just have them. I mean, if everyone waited to have kids until they felt ready, no one would ever have kids. People are under this grand illusion that they have to be at such and such a place in their lives before they have kids. You know, in my lifetime I've been at the top of the mountain and felt like I was trapped underneath it. Life fluctuates. You can be doing great and then lose your job, your house, etc. all in the same time frame, but it's the people in your family that keep you together and keep giving you inspiration to just get right back on that path of life. Because life is filled with good times and bad, you have to realize that you could have kids during a good time and it could STILL be followed by a bad, so because of that, when you want kids, just have them! Everything will all work out eventually as long as you keep getting back in the saddle of life. Besides, we as an American society have things all wrong. We keep saying we want our kids to have what we didn't have, but since every generation keeps getting more and more spoiled and selfish, is that REALLY the thing we should be doing? Perhaps if we gave our kids less they would learn to be happy with what they had. Which means, in essence, that we wouldn't need to wait so long to have them. Just another way of looking at things.
